Our supported care accommodation provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 18–19 who are leaving care and moving towards independent living. The service is part of a social care work aftercare programme, supporting young people to develop essential life skills, resilience, and confidence as they transition into adulthood.
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, homely, and safe environment. You will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the accommodation, and supporting young people to learn and develop practical life skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and food hygiene.
Every day is different, but here's what it might look like:
It's not just about food or cleaning – it's about being a positive role model, offering encouragement, and helping young people gain confidence in the everyday things that prepare them for independent living.
